Medicaid
Medicaid
is state mandated, what each state determines and funds, the Federal
government matches in block grants. So what the State of Colorado does is not what
the State of California does or any other state.
Medicaid
is for people who have spent down their life savings and need financial
help or welfare.
Medicaid
will pay for LTC services in most Nursing Homes in Colorado and the
rooms are semi-private. Very
few Assisted Living Facilities take Medicaid and at this time is a very
limited option.
Home
care can be received under Home and Community based services (HCBS).
